Killary Sheep Farm
Killary sheep farm is home to more than 200 ewes and lambs that roam freely on the mountains which offer stunning scenery as they overlook Killary. The Sheep farm is a great place for a family day out as children love to see the baby lambs that are being looked after on the farms. Killary Sheep Farm also offers a herding demonstration where you can see how well trained and skillful the sheepdogs are as they follow instructions to guide the sheep. The farm also offers a sheep shearing demonstration where you can see how the farmers cuts the sheep's coat which can then be used to make a fine quality wool for Aaron jumper and other wooly items of clothing.
Killary Adventure
If you're someone who loves adventure and outdoor activities, then Killary Adventure is the perfect spot for you to visit. There are a wide variety of activities to be experienced such as the high rope obstacle courses that will challenge your balance and agility as well as our hillwalking and Killary challenge where you will be split into teams to compete with each other at various activities. There are also a number of water activities such as paddle boarding and kayaking tours where your guides will allow you to explore the lakes in the area. Killary Adventures is perfect for family days, school tours, Stags and Hens.
Delphi Resort
Delphi Resort is an amazing place where you can experience good food as well as fun activites and adventures. Delphi resort offers over 20 outdoors activities which include water activities which are great for experiencing nature, getting out in the fresh air and getting some exercise. Delphi Resort also provides accommodation with gorgeous guest rooms and facilities. You can also experience their delicious food at the resort where their menus are varied and as exciting as the activities they provide. The resort also offers a spa to help you relax after a long day of activities and adventures.
Walkways
There are plenty of trails and walkways for you to enjoy while you're in the area. The Killary Fjord Famine Walk is a gorgeous scenic hike in the Connemara which is suitable for people of all fitness levels. You can perform this hike as a loop or a linear route. The hike provides an opportunity to experience some nature while getting some fresh air.
You can also take the Western Way which is a trail stretching for over 200km. It starts in Oughterard and finishes near the Co Sligo border in Bunnyconnellan. Visitors will often walk small sections within a trail to stretch to legs and explore a bit of the countryside.
