The Sheep & Wool Centre was founded in 1992 by Michael and Kathleen O'Toole with a view to preserving and protecting the traditions and skills of the sheep and wool industry in Connemara. Michael O'Toole had vast experience of the subject over a long career as an agriculturist scientist specialising in sheep. For the past thirty one years this family business has welcomed visitors to its museum, shop and cafe. The wool craft experience has welcomed many visiting groups, schools and families over the years from all over the world. The cafe is renowned for its homemaking and the shop has a broad range of gifts and crafts. Michael and Kathleen's daughter, Áine and her husband Greg manage the centre.

We are really excited to be taking part in this national event, Culture Night for the first time and to be able to offer a free programme of events to our customers, old and new...from near by and further afield.  Everyone is welcome and we looking forward to seeing you on the 22nd September. Aine
